 PRACTISE TASK ONE: researching codes and conventions of music videos

sub genre- k-pop 

 This is the first of the practice tasks. 

Give it the same title as the one above and label it 12 Practice Tasks, so that it appears in the correct section of your blog. 

This should take you two weeks to complete. (3 periods in lessons and 2 hours of homework)

1. Choose a musical sub genre.

2. Find between 5 and 10 music videos that are typical of music videos within that genre.

3. Either embed the music videos into your blog, or post links to them (embedding is better but it is not always possible).

4. Create a PowerPoint in which you define a list of Codes and Conventions for the genre. Ideally, you should use screen caps to illustrate the points you are making. It should cover:

• Mise en Scene
• Lighting
• Shot Types
• Editing Techniques
• Camera Angles and Movement
• Representation
• Narrative

5. Finally, once you have completed your PowerPoint, embed it into this post. In the event that you are not able to embed it you can post it as a series of .jpegs, but this should be a last resort.
